I’d been wondering when I’d find the “too much” line in my Comeback from Slothdom, and found it yesterday. I am fit enough to run four days in a row with no trouble, I got in 24 miles last week, resting heart rate back down to 50, beginning to shave those pounds off. But six miles on the fourth consecutive day was stepping over the line. No major repercussions, just slow paces/high heart rate for the second three miles, plus some warning shots fired from my shins. So today is off, then back to some three and four milers for the rest of the week. 10 weeks of training for the Presidio 10 begins on 1/12.
Still, I’m grateful that after so much time off and then just under three weeks of building back up, I’m in a good position to start training in a week!
